Cycle to Work Schemes

Cycle to Work is a tax incentive aimed at encouraging employees to, er, cycle to work. The scheme allows employees to benefit from a long term loan of a bike and commuting equipment such as lights, locks and panniers completely tax free.

You simply agree to forego a small amount of your salary, usually on a monthly basis, in order to take advantage of income tax, national insurance and generally, VAT savings.

How much can I save?

The typical saving for an average tax-payer is between 38 - 45% off suggested retail prices. To find out exactly how much you can save visit www.cyclescheme.co.uk and use the savings calculator.

How can I get involved?

First of all, your employer must sign up to a Cycle to Work scheme. If they haven't already, you will need to encourage them to do so. It shouldn't be hard, as employers actually save money too through reduced National Insurance contributions.

Cyclescheme is the UK's number one provider of the Cycle to Work Scheme. They provide a completely hands free way for employers of any size to make the scheme available to staff.

Cyclescheme offer big savings on the best bikes and safety equipment through a network of over 1200 local bike shops, giving you the best experience, with the expert service, convenience and choice that most larger multiple retailers can't match.

The nearest local retailer offering the Cyclescheme is the Bike Shop, just a few miles from Thorpe Park at Cross Gates.
