What we are doing to help
As travel is so important, we are trying to do as much as we can to help individuals choose the most appropriate travel option for their journey to work, and to support each of these travel options with the aim of making them as easy, cheap and convenient as possible.
We recognise that at an out of town location such as Thorpe Park the car will remain the most appropriate and practical travel option for most people. We will however try to encourage those who can travel by an alternative method of transport to do so, both for their own well being, and to help reduce the effect travel has on our environment.
Encouraging people to travel by sustainable modes of transport isn't an anti-car campaign. In fact, if successful it will help those people who do travel by car by reducing congestion and freeing up valuable car parking spaces (for use by those who do not have an option).
