NHS Volunteer Responders are calling for people to step forward and volunteer at The Medical Centre, Seacroft (846 York Road, Seacroft, LS14 6DX) and other places across the region, to help deliver the COVID-19 vaccination programme to millions across the country. There is still a huge task ahead of us and you’re invited to join the army of volunteers to help get this job done!
Vaccination Steward Volunteers are vital to ensure that vaccinations can be rolled out efficiently, in the next crucial phase of the NHS’s largest ever vaccination programme. Stewards will guide people on site to make sure the vaccination process runs as safely and efficiently as possible. They will help ensure social distancing and identify people who need additional support.
It’s easy to apply online and you have total flexibility to choose your shifts via the GoodSAM app on your smartphone.
Not only does volunteering help the NHS and those in need in our local community, it’s also good for you in many ways.
81% of pandemic volunteers report better physical and mental health, as well as learning new skills and gaining a sense of connection to others in their community.
Any time you can give will make all the difference and you’ll be part of a great team working alongside NHS staff.
