Thursday 2nd October – Discounted PSA Testing (12:30pm – 2:30pm)
As part of Health and Wellbeing Week, LivingCare are offering discounted PSA tests at their Thorpe Park clinic. Usually £80, these tests are available for just £35, with only 24 slots available.
The PSA test is a quick blood test that measures Prostate Specific Antigen, a protein made by the prostate gland. Elevated levels may indicate prostate problems, including cancer. PSA testing can help detect prostate cancer early, often before symptoms appear, giving men more treatment options and better chances of successful outcomes.
Testing is mainly recommended for men over 50, but men at higher risk, such as those with a family history, may consider starting earlier.
The process is simple: a small blood sample is taken from your arm, taking only a few minutes, and results are carefully checked. For many men, a normal result provides reassurance and peace of mind.
To book, call LivingCare directly on 0113 2494655 and quote ‘ParkLife’.
Friday 3rd October – Wagamama Nourishment Class (3pm)
End the week with something special! Wagamama at The Springs are kindly hosting a wellbeing-focused nourishment class exclusively for ParkLife. Their chefs will share insights into the health benefits of nutritious food, and you’ll get the chance to build your own dish and enjoy a refreshing juice.
There are just 8 spaces up for grabs on this free nourishment class so if you’re interested, we are inviting teams to register their interest on the below link. We will then pick one lucky group of 8 at random! So, round up your colleagues, get a group of 8 together and follow the instructions on the link below before 25th September.
We hope you’ll join us in making ParkLife Health and Wellbeing Week a real success. Whether you take part in one activity or several, it’s a great opportunity to put your health first, connect with others, and discover new ways to feel your best.
Spaces for many of the sessions are limited, so please be sure to register or book your place in advance to avoid disappointment.
