In collaboration with Active Leeds, we’re excited to launch the new ParkLife Run Club at Thorpe Park Leeds, giving people the chance to get active, enjoy some fresh air and connect with others during the working week.
Starting on Wednesday 22 July 2026, the Run Club will take place every Wednesday lunchtime, with sessions starting at 12:15pm from outside ODEON at The Springs.
The club will be led by England Athletics qualified run leader; Ade and is designed to be friendly, social and accessible. Whether you’re completely new to running, returning after a break, building up your confidence, or already enjoy regular runs, you’ll be welcome to join in.
Why join ParkLife Run Club?
Running is one of the simplest ways to build more movement into your week. You don’t need lots of equipment, it can fit neatly into a lunch break, and it’s a great way to step away from your desk, clear your head and return to work feeling refreshed. Plus, by running at lunchtime, this can save you time in the evenings after work!
Regular running can help improve fitness, boost energy levels, support mental wellbeing and provide a positive break in the middle of the day. It can also be much easier to stay motivated when you’re running with other people, especially as part of a relaxed and supportive group.
ParkLife Run Club is also a great opportunity to discover new routes around Thorpe Park Leeds, meet people from other businesses across the park and add something different to your weekly routine.
What to expect
Each weekly session will include:
- A short warm-up
- A led social run around Thorpe Park Leeds
- A cool-down at the end of the session
The distance covered will be no more than 5km, and the sessions will be suitable for a range of abilities. This is a social run, not a race, and no one will be left behind!
Ade will be on hand to guide the session, support the group and help people build confidence with their running over time.
Who can take part?
ParkLife Run Club is free and open to everyone working across Thorpe Park Leeds.
You don’t need to be an experienced runner to join. The club is about getting active, meeting people and enjoying a positive lunchtime break. Come along on your own, bring a colleague, or encourage your wider team to get involved.
