Try it for a day for a better tomorrow!

Bus travel throughout West Yorkshire will be FREE on Sunday 31 October 2021 to celebrate next month’s United Nations Climate Change conference in Glasgow (COP 26).

The West Yorkshire Mayor, Tracy Brabin, is encouraging people to swap private car travel for public transport. Tackling the climate emergency and protecting the environment is one of the Mayor’s 10 pledges to West Yorkshire.

There will be no charge on any bus journey within the districts of Bradford, Calderdale, Kirklees, Leeds and Wakefield. You could start your Christmas shopping, run some errands, explore your local town or city or catch the bus to a local park! You could even hop on the bus to your Halloween party or travel further afield to do some trick or treating!

The plans have been developed by the West Yorkshire Bus Alliance to allow you to get on any bus operated by FirstArriva and Transdev.

When Free Bus Sunday ends, bus travel doesn’t need to end! Why not consider using the bus to travel to work or school too?

Don’t forget, we can help you with your public transport queries.

Whether you’re a business looking for advice on setting up corporate ticketing discounts or an individual wanting to know more about ticketing options and how to save money on bus journeys, we can help.
