You may already know about the government-backed initiative to help encourage bus travel. However, if you’re not aware, the £2 bus cap has now been extended through to 31st October 2023 which is brilliant news for those travelling locally by public transport.
Additionally, from 1st November 2023 for 12 months, this cap will be increased to £2.50 per local journey.
Across England, local single bus fares are capped at £2 per journey. The scheme is designed to allow more people to make local journeys by bus, in an affordable way. It also aims to reduce carbon emissions.
If you would like to plan a journey by public transport, head over to the Traveline website. Here you can input your starting location and your destination. The website will then identify the best public transport options, including time to travel to your local bus stop or train station. It will also notify you if the £2 cap covers your bus fare!
If you have any questions about your commute to Thorpe Park Leeds, contact the ParkLife team who will be happy to help.
