Love Your Bike Event: Wednesday 6th July

Our next Love Your Bike event will be held on Wednesday 6th July at The Springs! We’ll be joined by Halfords Mobile Experts, who will be offering free bike servicing and e-bike trials. We’ll also be providing free bike security marking with the National Cycle Database, Bike Register.

Free Bike Servicing

Halfords professional mobile maintenance team will be at The Springs to offer a free bronze level cycle service – typically priced at £35 in store!

A bronze level services comprises an overall health check followed by a detailed service of the gears, tyres, drive chain and brakes by an expert technician.

The session will run from 10am to 4pm, but spaces are limited – so make sure you book to avoid disappointment!

Free Bike Security Marking / Registering

At the same time, the ParkLife team will be offering free bike security marking and registering with the National Cycle Database. Registering your bike means you’re more likely to be reunited with it in the event of it being stolen and marking your bike reduces the chances of you becoming a victim of cycle theft!

Come along to have your bike registered for free, no need to book!

The frame of your bike will be marked with a tamper-proof QR code sticker, then details of your bike and BikeRegisterID will be added to the national police database. The database is used by every police force in the UK to search for stolen and recovered bikes.

Free e-Bike Trials

We’ll also be running free e-bike trials in partnership with Halfords. Trials will be available anytime between 10am and 4pm and last around 20 minutes each.

It’s the perfect opportunity to try out an e-bike for 20 minutes, totally free, so you can have a true electric bike experience before committing to a purchase. It’s the perfect opportunity for you to discover the benefits of a battery-powered bike, right on the doorstep of your workplace.

No need to book in, we just ask that you bring along some form of photo ID and proof of your employment at Thorpe Park / The Springs (an employee ID card would be perfect!). You’ll be given a brief introduction on the bike, then asked to sign a disclaimer and off you go with the bike!
